LONG BRANCH MISSION

Our purpose is to preserve and utilize the assets of the Long Branch estate for the benefit of our local and regional communities. The historic house, active equine farm and scenic open space allow us to promote education, environmental preservation and host community events.

Long Branch is incorporated as a 501c3 nonprofit organization, and as such we have a mission to be a benefit to the community.  We invite you to our house and Virginia horse retirement farm to enjoy the rich history, marvelous gardens and breathtaking views.

In addition to the preservation of our 200-year-old historic home, we oversee a Virginia horse retirement farm of nearly 400 pristine, permanently preserved acres. Long Branch’s herd of retired horses is an important aspect of our overall operation and adds life, excitement and beauty to the farm which they call home. They are a living, vibrant reminder of our equine heritage. Our farm is an integral part of our story and is host to a wide variety of community events that celebrate the history, heritage, and lives of Virginians living in the lower Shenandoah Valley.

In addition to being open for seasonal tours and programs, we offer local families the ideal Virginia venue for weddings and receptions. The historic house is also open for private party rentals, community functions, meetings, and events that wish to take advantage of our spectacular setting and phenomenal architecture.
